Do any of these ring a bell? -You no longer invite friends over due to barking or aggressive behavior -Walking very early or late to avoid other dogs and people -Not taking vacation because you can’t board your dog You are not alone! When your pet becomes unmanageable in public, it forces you to retreat into your home. Often, the signs and symptoms have been there a long time and owners have missed subtle things, managed minor issues, or dismissed behaviors as “quirks”. Finding a dog trainer who is skilled and knowledgeable in these behaviors is critical. Videos and blogs can only take you so far without hands on teaching to show you what to do, and how to do it. Unfortunately for many people they wait until they are desperate for help. Rushing to find a trainer, they don’t take the time to ask questions to get the most skilled person. They believe promises of “fixing” problems quickly. Spoiler alert! There’s no quick fix to these problems.
I offer a comprehensive, systematic approach to your dogs behavioral needs. During our first assessment I evaluate your dog, family dynamics, dog health record, and so much more. We start training immediately and I offer after hours support as needed. Let’s be real…..you’re not going to have problems (usually) while you’re at work. It’s going to happen when you get home from work. Being available to respond to texts and calls for urgent needs is something I pride myself on.
